Discovery
Our approach starts before the team walks into the room. We meet with you and your team prior to the workshop to build an understanding of individual perspectives and priorities. This builds enthusiasm and confidence in the workshop engagement and the facilitation required upfront.
The input taken from these meetings flows into the design of the workshop or workshop series. We then share with you the feedback from individual perspectives and priorities. We’ll also discuss and agree the flow of the workshop and the desired outcomes.
Working closely with you in this phase helps you to be fully prepared and well positioned to lead this initiative with your team.
Strategy
The strategy step takes place in the workshop. Our facilitation and coaching methodologies create a space to raise the individual and collective awareness of the team, invites creative and collaborative thinking and strengthens the relationships within the team.
Our workshop design involves working through a process that promotes engagement from all team members and opens possibilities for the thinking outside their usual operational box.
Application

WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO BRING MY TEAM TOGETHER IN A WORKSHOP?

WHAT BENEFIT IS THERE FROM HAVING SOMEONE OUTSIDE THE TEAM FACILITATE A WORKSHOP?
It is very difficult to be both a participator and facilitator in a workshop. A facilitator by nature needs to be detached from the outcome. The facilitator’s primary role is to be a process guide and ensure that all voices are heard. As the owner of the business, it’s hard to imagine a situation where you could be easily detached from the outcome. Bringing in an experienced facilitator frees you up to participate wholeheartedly.
SHOULD MY ENTIRE TEAM BE INVOLVED IN THE WORKSHOP OR JUST A FEW KEY MEMBERS?
The first step in our team workshops is to meet with the business leader. At this discovery meeting, we work with you to frame the purpose and desired outcomes of the workshop. This will involve discussions around where the team and the business are now, who are the right people to have in the room and what kind of activities will be needed to achieve the purpose and desired outcomes. Team workshops will vary depending on whether the team is strategising, working on team alignment or building new capabilities, like introducing a new product development process.
CAN I HAVE INPUT ON WHAT IS COVERED IN THE WORKSHOP?
Absolutely. Your input is vital to the success of all the teamwork we do with your business. Your input is needed at the beginning when we design the workshop, during the workshop process and also at the end to ensure good feedback and follow up.
WHAT CAN I/WE DO AFTER THE SESSION TO ENSURE WHAT WE HAVE COVERED IS SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED?
Our workshop design always includes an action plan component setting up the next steps for the team, the wider business and us. We can work with you to put in place simple and effective accountability processes to ensure a successful implementation. For larger projects and initiatives, we can provide direct support to ensure that activities are coordinated well across the business.
