Bring your team together and let passion and productivity thrive.
Team Workshops are designed to work through complex challenges such as strategic planning, new product development and business development. These workshops deliver improved teamwork, problem-solve roadblocks, uncover new business opportunities and create stronger team alignment to your business vision.
We deliver team workshops standalone and as a key part of our business mentoring program.
WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM TEAM WORKSHOPS?
Team Vision Workshops are designed for people or businesses who want to…
- Explore future business opportunities with their key leadership team
- Resolve team challenges and get them working more effectively
- Develop more efficient team processes, frameworks and methods of collaboration
- Ensure everyone is working towards a common goal
- Break down operational barriers that slow team outputs
- Navigate complex team dynamics that are causing performance issues in their team
- Develop new business capabilities
Our approach starts before the team walks into the room. We meet with you and your team prior to the workshop to build an understanding of individual perspectives and priorities. This builds enthusiasm and confidence in the workshop engagement and the facilitation required upfront.
The input taken from these meetings flows into the design of the workshop or workshop series. We then share with you the feedback from individual perspectives and priorities. We’ll also discuss and agree the flow of the workshop and the desired outcomes.
Working closely with you in this phase helps you to be fully prepared and well positioned to lead this initiative with your team.
The strategy step takes place in the workshop. Our facilitation and coaching methodologies create a space to raise the individual and collective awareness of the team, invites creative and collaborative thinking and strengthens the relationships within the team.
Our workshop design involves working through a process that promotes engagement from all team members and opens possibilities for the thinking outside their usual operational box.
After the workshop, we can work with you to support the refinement of the team’s plan and develop the necessary skills and tools that are required to achieve the agreed goal.
OWNER | NEW TOUCH INDUSTRIES
“I have learnt so much and have benefited greatly from our sessions. Looking back at where we were 10 months ago compared to now I am so much happier, less frustrated and really looking forward to 2020 where I believe we will make much more progress. The morale and can do attitude that has crept into NTi recently has been amazing and resulted in us exceeding budget. People keep commenting to me about the change in personalities and willingness to help.”
OWNER | VALUE HEARING
“I have learned so much from Dan. He has the amazing ability to know you better than you know yourself and he knows what you are capable of, even if you do not think you are capable of it. He understands people, and knows what will work well for you, so that you can get to the answers that is needed to move forward. From the simplest to the more complex issues – nothing is too hard. They do not teach you recipes, but they teach you to use your skills, your strengths, your passion to get you through the toughest times and decisions.”
WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO BRING MY TEAM TOGETHER IN A WORKSHOP?
Bringing a team together, in our experience, creates new thinking and raised levels of engagement. Something special happens when people come together to work on something. Our discovery process creates a solid platform for the team to begin this process.
WHAT BENEFIT IS THERE FROM HAVING SOMEONE OUTSIDE THE TEAM FACILITATE A WORKSHOP?
It is very difficult to be both a participator and facilitator in a workshop. A facilitator by nature needs to be detached from the outcome. The facilitator’s primary role is to be a process guide and ensure that all voices are heard. As the owner of the business, it’s hard to imagine a situation where you could be easily detached from the outcome. Bringing in an experienced facilitator frees you up to participate wholeheartedly.
SHOULD MY ENTIRE TEAM BE INVOLVED IN THE WORKSHOP OR JUST A FEW KEY MEMBERS?
The first step in our team workshops is to meet with the business leader. At this discovery meeting, we work with you to frame the purpose and desired outcomes of the workshop. This will involve discussions around where the team and the business are now, who are the right people to have in the room and what kind of activities will be needed to achieve the purpose and desired outcomes. Team workshops will vary depending on whether the team is strategising, working on team alignment or building new capabilities, like introducing a new product development process.
CAN I HAVE INPUT ON WHAT IS COVERED IN THE WORKSHOP?
Absolutely. Your input is vital to the success of all the teamwork we do with your business. Your input is needed at the beginning when we design the workshop, during the workshop process and also at the end to ensure good feedback and follow up.
WHAT CAN I/WE DO AFTER THE SESSION TO ENSURE WHAT WE HAVE COVERED IS SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED?
Our workshop design always includes an action plan component setting up the next steps for the team, the wider business and us. We can work with you to put in place simple and effective accountability processes to ensure a successful implementation. For larger projects and initiatives, we can provide direct support to ensure that activities are coordinated well across the business.
